Exercise TV
While I was away on business a few weeks ago, I was looking through the On Demand options on the television in my hotel room and found free workouts from Exercise TV. I was very excited because I wanted to workout while I was gone but there were not a lot of opportunities to go down to the fitness room for workouts. I decided to try a few of the workouts.
The first workout was a cardio workout by Cindy Whitmarsh. It was a 20 minute workout, which fit into my schedule perfectly and I am familiar with Cindy from the workout Results Fitness 10 Days to a Better Body, which is an excellent workout.
The next workout from the series that I did was a standing ab workout featuring Jennifer Galardi from The Crunch Fat Burning Dance Party. The workout was 10 minutes so I was able to fit it in before I went to complete my tasks for that day. I also was able to do a 10 minute ab floor routine by Marco Reed. I enjoyed the flexibility of the workouts and the workouts themselves.
Exercise TV is available on several cable networks in the United States, but it is not yet available in Canada which I find disappointing. However, I noticed in the credits for the workouts that there was a website, http://www.exercisetv.tv/, so when I cam home I checked it out. It really is a wonderful site. The are workouts that are available to purchase as downloads at very reasonable prices. There are also several workouts that are free to view through your home computer. Exercise TV has also put together several goal oriented programs with workout schedules that you can order as a download for your iPod or to burn onto your own DVD. Many of the workouts in the program can be viewed for free on your computer.
The workouts run from 10 minutes to 30 minutes. You can create your own workouts by combining several of the shorter workouts or if you are looking for a time crunch solution, the 10 minute workouts can be done on their own. There are so many options and possibilities. If you are lucky enough to be able to get Exercise TV through your cable provider, I highly recommend it but I also recommend that you check out the site.
